Account & Data Deletion

VeilCast (operated by FOP Roi Dmytro Serhiiovych, Ukraine) gives every user a one-tap way to permanently delete their account and all associated personal data from within the app. This page describes the exact steps, what is deleted, what is retained for legal reasons, and how to make a deletion request via email if you can no longer open the app.

1. Delete from inside the app

1. Open the VeilCast app and sign in.
2. Tap "Ты" (You) in the bottom navigation to open the profile screen.
3. Scroll to the very bottom — find the "Danger zone" section.
4. Tap "Удалить аккаунт" (Delete account). A confirmation dialog will appear.
5. Type the word "DELETE" exactly as shown and confirm. Your account, profile, natal data, readings, grimoire entries and push token are erased immediately via a database cascade.

2. Email-based deletion request

If you no longer have access to the app (uninstalled, lost device, forgotten password and cannot recover) you can send a deletion request to our support email. We will verify ownership and delete the account within 30 days of receiving the request. Include the email address registered on the account in the message body.

3. What is deleted vs. retained

We delete the maximum amount of personal data and retain only the minimum required by law.

Deleted immediately:

• Email address and hashed password (auth record)
• Display name, avatar, language and palette preferences
• Natal chart data — birth date, birth time, birth place
• Reading history — questions, drawn cards, AI interpretations
• Grimoire entries — journal notes and reflections
• Push notification tokens

Retained:

• Audit log entry of the deletion event (user id only, no personal data) — retained 12 months to comply with abuse and compliance investigations
• Anonymised aggregated analytics (no personal identifiers) — retained indefinitely for product improvement

4. Partial data deletion

You can delete individual grimoire entries, edit or clear your natal chart, and edit your profile (display name, palette, language) at any time without deleting your whole account. Use the corresponding sections in the app.

5. Timing

In-app deletion is immediate (database cascade). Email-based deletion is completed within 30 days. Anonymised aggregated analytics are not subject to deletion since they cannot be linked back to a specific user.
