Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VeilCast (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. We may modify these Terms at any time; continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance.

2. Service Description

VeilCast is an esoteric AI-assisted reflection app for entertainment purposes. It is available on the web and as native iOS / Android applications. The Service offers, among other features:

• Tarot card spreads (one-card, three-card, Celtic Cross) with AI-generated interpretation
• Astrology — natal-chart computation and daily horoscope framing
• Daily card and lunar-phase ritual reminders
• A personal grimoire / journal with AI reflection prompts
• Additional divination tools (runes, numerology, I-Ching, dream interpretation, compatibility)
• Subscription plans with quota-based access to AI features
• Localization in English, Ukrainian, and Russian

3. User Accounts

To use most features of VeilCast you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate registration information (email, name where requested)
• Maintain the security of your account credentials and not share them
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or have been inactive for an extended period. You can permanently delete your own account at any time from Profile → Danger Zone.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Use automated tools to extract data beyond what the normal interface provides
• Attempt unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or related systems
• Submit malicious or harmful content as questions, journal entries or other input
• Abuse AI features by submitting illegal, harassing, sexually explicit content involving minors, hateful or otherwise harmful content for generation
• Exceed rate limits or degrade performance for other users
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person or entity
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without written permission

5. Intellectual Property

5.1. Our Content

The VeilCast application — design, illustrations, copy, code, and brand — is owned by VeilCast and protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works of the Service without our prior written consent.

5.2. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create using the Service: reading questions, grimoire entries, journal notes, profile and natal data. By using the Service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store and transmit that content solely to provide the Service (e.g. to send your question and chart context to an AI model for interpretation).

5.3. AI-Generated Content

Reading interpretations, horoscope text, reflection prompts and other AI outputs are provided for your personal use. You may use, modify and share them as you see fit. We do not claim ownership of AI-generated outputs. You are solely responsible for how you act on them.

6. Entertainment-Only Disclaimer

VeilCast is provided for entertainment, self-reflection and curiosity. Card spreads, horoscopes, runes, I-Ching, numerology, dream interpretations and compatibility readings are not factual statements about the future and are not professional advice. In particular, VeilCast does not:

• Provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial or relationship advice
• Diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition
• Predict factual future events with any guarantee
• Replace consultation with a qualified professional

For decisions with material consequences for your health, finances, legal status, or relationships, you must consult a licensed professional. You alone are responsible for any decision you make on the basis of readings, horoscopes or other content in the Service.

7. AI Features Disclaimer

Reading interpretations and other AI outputs are generated by third-party large-language models and may contain inaccuracies, biases, hallucinations or culturally insensitive content. You should:

• Treat all AI-generated readings as suggestive reflection, not advice
• Not rely on AI output for any safety-critical, medical or legal decision
• Understand that two readings of the same question may produce different interpretations
• Report harmful or unsafe AI output to us so we can adjust prompts and safeguards

8. Plans, Payments & Refunds

VeilCast offers a free plan and paid tiers (Seeker, Guide, Oracle) with progressively higher AI-reading quotas and additional features. Paid plans are processed via the manual order flow described in the Billing section: you select a plan and a payment method, complete payment via the chosen channel, and our operator activates your subscription after confirmation. Native iOS / Android builds do not offer in-app purchase — paid plans can only be ordered from the web.

Refund Policy: if you are unsatisfied with a paid plan you may request a refund within 7 days of the initial activation by writing to the contact email below from the email registered on your account. Refunds are not available for renewal periods. Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days.

Cancellation: you may stop a subscription at any time by contacting support. Paid features remain available until the end of the current paid period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time.

Pricing, plan limits and bundled features may change. We will provide reasonable notice before significant pricing changes. No refunds are provided where the subscription was terminated for a violation of these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VeilCast and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service
• Inaccuracies or biases in AI-generated readings, horoscopes, or other content
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Decisions you take on the basis of readings, including those affecting your health, finances, relationships or career
• Service downtime, data loss, or technical failures

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time from Profile → Danger Zone. We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• Your account is used for fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• We discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice)

Upon termination your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Self-service deletion removes your data immediately via database cascade; operator-initiated termination follows the same procedure within 30 days.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of the jurisdiction in which VeilCast operates.
